Alternative energy is growing in popularity and demand and wind will be a big part of it. ITC will transmit a lot of uppermidwest electricity

Fool Stock Advisor pick. I also love built-in advantages and it promises to deliver access to wind power for the Midwest - Yea!

What does ITC stand for? "International Turtle Contest"? "International Tank Center"? How about "International Tax Collection"? That would be a BUMMER!

A sizeable investment in public infrastructure will definitely be made within the next five to ten years. Our power transmission lines were built for the 1950's and 1960's, and are inadequate for our future needs, especially considering new alternative sources of electric power and the increasing "wired" population.

They are planning to build what they call "The Green Power Express", the power transmission system to connect the wind farm corridor of the sparsely populated Midwest to the main power grid serving the industrial Midwest. They would seem to be poised to be a major player in the forefront of the proven alternative energy production, and a key recipient of Federal funding in the infrastructure buildout and overhaul.

This is my energy infrastructure play. From my research it appears to be a good company in critical infrastructure need area.
