IUSA has a too high valuation compared to its sales potential.

infoGroup has a nice ticker, iUSA, who could thumb down a company with USA in it's ticker? Who could downthumb a company that has 90% all-star upthumb rating? Or how about one that is up 18% on news...?? The news??? WE will neither confirm, nor deny that we are considering being acquired.
The reality, maybe they are a buyout target. I think it's unlikely, else management doesn't know about it as the insider sales is rampant and not just programmed sales. What's the premium if they do get acquired? What's the downside if they don't? infoGroup has had a steep qtr/qtr, yoy decline in sales. Not unusual in a recession, but not anything to toot your own horn over or to expect a premium. Net tangible assets are improving, but still a NEGATIVE $173 million with $190 in long term debt. Revenue is down about 30% from a year ago and income barely positive. I don't think infoGroup is a bad company, I just doubt their being bought out and the serious speculation in upside the equity has received.

They have balance sheet and liquidity problems, plus their market is mature and oversaturated. Business is getting worse yet the stock is going up. Due for a hard correction.

Considering the comps in this industry IUSA leads the pack with a much more robust product offering and aggressive marketing.

Info Group IUSA provides business and consumer data bases for sales leads. They recently installed a new CEO. The 52 wk low 3.78 down from high 10.66 is now trading above $6.00 and pays a dividend of 5.50% The stock is on the move for the last few days and expected to continue with potential to move above its previous high. The low PE of 8.65 and dividend makes this stock a good pick for buy and hold for a year.

People just don't want to be bothered over dinner. Do Not Call and other initiatives make business much more difficult, although demand for marketing services will remain strong.

Priced way under its enterprise value.

EV = 804.2M (per Yahoo! Finance) vís-a-vís its current market capitalization of 551.4M (also from Yahoo! Finance)

This means that if a competitour or a private equity partner were to buy this company, that current shareholders could possibly receive a 46% premium over last night's closing price of $9.95/share.

$14.50/share? Not far-fetched.

Man, I wish I had some free capital right now to buy this one IRL (in real life) but I had to sell significant amounts of stock in the last 2 weeks for various car repairs. :-(
