Company is in a great position to be acquired due to its relatively low market cap compared to its large cap peers. With low cash position, and three late-staged drugs- this equals to million(s) of dollars in revenue potential.
The pain management drugs have the attention of the military. They did have a recent sit back on the mixed Phase III data for its Ereska drug candidate to treat post-operative pain. However, they will reevaluate and continue to test it further.
JAV did beat earnings estimates in the last reported quarter and Mr. Zack is ranking this a Strong Buy with Reuters ranking it Outperform.
For around $2, it appears to be an opportunity to double your investment by mid 2010. However, with an acquisition - you could see it fly to $5 or $6 or an extreme $7

I have owned this stock since March and been waiting for there Drugs to get ready for FDA aapproval. They are also a buyout opportunity for some bigger Pharm companies. The stock didn't move for 4 months and all of a sudden it is climbing everyday. Something is coming soon so don't wait. They are also a good long term buy if they can get FDA approval and then really start turning out some new drugs. Also Dodd's wife is on their board of directors ???

Why would any hospital utilize Dyloject as an injectable pain medication, when it would replace Voltarol which is an ingestible product? Because Dyloject administrative cost are about 20% for the like application. Since the application of this product is for "Post Operative Pain", there is little advantage to an ingestible product. Recent news in European countries where Dyloject is already in market proves the acceptance of the product as a replacement for other costly methods of post operative pain medication. With the development of Rylomin in Phase III (intranasal morphine) for acute severe pain and Ereska also in Phase III (intranasal ketamine) for acute moderate to severe pain, I am two to four years bullish for Javelin.

A micro-cap specialty pharma focused on pain and unique drug delivery technology, JAV languishes near its lows despite EU approval/launch of Dyloject, two more drugs in pipeline, and work on US approval for Dyloject serving as future catalysts.

This stock has been bludgeoned, but has now found and bottom and with 3 drugs in phase 3, this company could see profits within 2 years.

The market for pain management drugs is enormous and continues to grow. Each of the three products (one of which is already approved and on the market in Europe) this company is bringing to market is a reformulation of an existing drug with a proven safety record. Though I believe biotech stocks are always a gamble, I see very little downside and considerable upside for this stock over the next few years.

Get ready for this one to take off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great pipe line new mgm and new marketing dept plus new board members that get it. Great pipeline of taking existing drugs and finding new uses and the pain pump when approved will set this stock soaring. Predict it to go 9 or 10 in the next year watch this one!!!!!

Usually I stay away from pharmaceuticals, but with Fortis giving it the green light and with the drugs they have ready to come out, plus the stock price (gives "nowhere to go but up" a whole new meaning)...seems like a safe bet without much $ to lose.

All the news from Javelin has been exceptional. Their pain drug Dyloject has been approved for sale in UK and should be approved for all EC shortly. They have two other drugs in final stage.
