Will gain in one year
Recs
With airlines merging, Jet Blue is positioned to be a take over target.

This one is heading in the right direction. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm picking a doubler over the next three to six months, if fuel prices stay the same. Fundamentals will change radically for the positive if costs stay low. Go Blue!

Strong business model, nimble managment and deeply rooted core values. Add to that the positive press they've been getting and for the short term, at least, this one will outperform. They will continue to have challenges as they mature, read age, as a company. Its not always gonna be up, up and away.

great airline, great customer service and loyal appreciation for a job well done, but
they haven't fully realized that now over six years old, the planes that were new and running great, now need service, they need to set up an entire service schedule, facility, staff etc, very very costly. also, they are building out new terminals and locations. Very economical and needed for growth, but costly on the bottom line. Older planes have little resale value because they have been so custome ordered for jetblue, leather seats, full tv's no galley, etc. no other airline wants them so they MUST set up the costly maintenance system. I love the stock and am a stockholder, but don't see much future growth soon.

Saw the interview on tv the other day along with millions of other Americans. Sounds like they have a good philosophy. And the price is pretty good right now.

Good business plan and recently added O'Hare as one of its stops

Have to bet on someone in this airline battle (we have to fly) and my money is on Jet Blue. Soutwest is old and JetBlue represents everything that made SW great but MORE!

I don't know, everything about this stock as far as performance in the sector looks good. The problem is this industry. I pick it to underperform, but I think it's a winner in the long haul.
Recs
With fuel prices dropping, and given the efficiency of its operations, Jet Blue should start to climb slowly back to its previous highs of $17 or more per share.

Recent news says that JetBlue tested pilots' fatigue without letting the FAA or passengers know. Uh-oh.
Apparently, the airline was trying to see if they could fly pilots longer if the pilots could sleep in their own beds, not hotels.
Recs
Financially stretched, but rebound in airlines profits this year may pull it up with the other airlines too. JBLU is still a airline I would fly above all others, so this is a Peter Lynch buy in my opinion

Jet Blue is a great airlines. They offer very reasonable rates and have performed well during difficult markets. Many people are just starting to fly Jet Blue and once they do they'll never go to another airlines. In addition, they continue to offer new flight destinations which is a sign of a growing company.

fuel prices will allow it to grow

They offer great service and good managment. Stock has taken a bit of a beating lately....good things to come.

best in breed

Come earnings season I think it is finally time for the turnaround that MF has been expecting. Stability in fuel prices will help some, as will a few operational efficienies. Even a small positive surprise will increase peoples enthusiasm for this stock quite a bit.

Enjoying cheap fuel...for now. This stock has been beat up pretty badly, but I like management's ability to adapt. There's something to be said for corporate culture when times get tough. The payments on their A-319's aren't going away soon though, and the new E-190's have not been reliable enough.
Recs
Proves that a cheaper service doesn't always have to be lower quality. JBLU boils down the airline experience, cutting out unnecessary fat, but leaving in nice amenities (like satellite TV) that really appeal. The strategies of only offering one level of service and two types of aircraft will keep overhead costs down. Watch this one take off if fuel prices stay at a moderate level.
