Upthumb. Very good sales growth and payout. Low sales growth of 6.9% over 5 years. LIkely to be flat this year. High quick ratio and low debt ratio with AAA rating. What will drive the stock higher, though is the pipeline which is filled with 10 very good drug candidates.

JNJ is a world-class consumer goods company that throws off monstrous cash flows each year. The Pfiezer Consumer deal will contribute to the top and bottom line. Strong cost control and more than 30 drugs in phase III trials provide the fuel for an upside surprise on the bottom line. The dividend, management and inelastic demand for the company’s products should insolate the firm from an economic cooling.

A solid company that will pay you a 3% dividend while you're waiting for the market to recover at which time JNJ will be among the leaders.

They have an excellant policy of helping people without insurance or low incomes. Their service is great and fast and the operators helpful and friendly. They are easy to work with according to many doctors. All this leads to free advertising by customers, who will buy their other products based on the help they recieved for their medicines. Being nice still pays even in big business.

There is a lot of negative sentiment surrounding large cap stocks because they hardly made any price action over a considerable time-span.

What investors forget is that in the meantime intrinsic value increases in lock step with their increase in free cash flow. An effectively static price means that the discrepancy between price and value increases.

This is fantastic news for the buy side.

At a P/E of 16, and God only know when it cut or didn't raise its divdend, I think this is definately a defensive Widows and Orphans stock that has enough of a kicker for most people! The only down side is at what stage will the law of large numbers kick in? You can't grow add infinitum at 9% can you? Food for thought!
