This is another company that i think is a safe bet during market corrections and resistant to inflationary times - Healthcare at both ends of
ones lifetime and everywhere in between will be provided regardless of the state of the economy. (anybody not buy baby powder because of inflation??)
Plus it has been growing dividends since 2006 with current yield of almost 3% and it is a house hold name!

Tiny medical device company that hardly anyone knows about; explosive growth opportunity!

Or maybe not. Tough to imagine JNJ crushing the market. But I own a few shares so I will pick them in here as well... that's about it.

Having trouble finding stocks I would buy for their current prices. Picking JNJ because of it's 3% dividend and 53 year history of paying (and raising) it.

Recently beaten down by a market correction, JNJ with it's wide range of products and steady dividend is a prime candidate to join long term. Definitely a slow and steady wins the race type of pick.

I'm watching a group of 20 stocks that are predominately priced at or below fair value based on historic valuations. The portfolio has an above average starting yield of about 3.35% compared to the S&P 500's 1.95%. The portfolio is designed to replicate something I might choose in retirement in order to live off of dividends alone instead of share harvesting and was inspired by a series of articles by Chuck Carnevale. My goal is to not make any changes for at least 5 years unless a dividend is frozen, cut or, I see a golden opportunity that increases current income as well as offers a better than average chance at capital appreciation. The portfolio doesn't need to necessarily beat the market for me to be satisfied with it's performance but I expect it to competitive in both short and longer time horizons as well as generate a rising income stream.

See ya in 2020.

JNJ has sold off painfully today along with the rest of the market; my thesis here is that the sell-off in JNJ is unwarranted and it's just being dragged down along with Mr. Market, will soon recover, thereby pull ahead of other CAPS pickings. Oh, that AND the steadily growing 3 % dividend.

Most big blue chips are generally overvalued relative to their growth prospects and so is JNJ. There is to much optimism regarding the "big" pipeline of Johnson & Johnson. This creates room for negative surprises.
