Information technology is such a necessity in this day and age with this boom in techs and engineering.
As companies take on more data and processing, they need the capacity and networks of a superior company. Juniper has been hammered in the past few months despite having all their infrastructure and capital in place.

Juniper has the best switches in the biz, esp at the high end. Huawei can have the low-end, and Cisco can duke it out with HP for the middle ground. This is a tough business these days and margins are under pressure, but when business revives, Juniper will do very well. Now trading at nearly 50% off it's highs, the stock is a good bargain.

Company is facing headwinds and is definitely better performing than Cisco. If Juniper isn't able to execute as well in this difficult market, I shudder to think what the industry outlook is going forward. Definitely an under-performer going forward.

I'm in the I.T. Industry. Juniper just recently got into the switch space with the ex series of switches. Juniper is very well known for their routers and are used alot by ISP's and at Colo's. Their switches are amazing with better performance then Cisco switches at a way deeper discount. And the company is not as bloated as Cisco. They concentrate on switches and routers. My company is deploying juniper switches rather then cisco due to their reliability and cost effectiveness. Ask any network engineer about juniper vs cisco if you know one and they will probably say the same thing. now that they are doing switching they have a lot of growth ahead.

I see it plummeting a whole deal greater than it performing a marginal profit rise. However I am what they would call a complete novice, if not just plainly a layman (lay*wo*man, that is).
