I have little doubt we are in the beginning of a Depression and the government is trying to buy our way out of it which will only compound the problem.
Anger at banks is growing as their employees remain wealthy as middle class America suffers. They are attempting to reinfalte house prices instead of letter Americans win by finding a natural bottom.
98% banks are essentially insolvent.

This is a company that routinely mistreats its depositors and employees. Such a company can not survive long. Read the forums at chase-sucks.com to see what I'm talking about.

JPM is a stock that is running way ahead of itself. As the market retracts over the next few weeks and a major correction takes place, I look at JPM to trade between $40 and $42 before December. A good shorting opportunity.

Reggie Middleton's analysis shows significant cracks, including spike in JP Morgan's Level 3 assets (dog loans). See www.boombustblog.com for free report.

If the Fed does succeed in causing inflation as Bernanke has committed to do, then the price of gold is going to keep climbing which will result in increasing losses on JPM's gold short position. If the attempt to inflate the economy fails, then JPM like all banks ,but perhaps less than some, is going to face growing losses it its loan portfolio as asset prices continue/resume their fall.

Either they eventually have to mark their assets at some level of reality or they eventually have to pay out Washington Mutual for theft of their assets.

Either way, it's going to hurt.

When the overly optimistic FOMC says that household spending will be "constrained" by sluggish income growth, ongoing job losses, lower household wealth, and tight credit AND Shanghai stocks hit a seven-week low, then you know this bear market rally is finally over!

QUICK! Pick a reason to exit a market that has risen too fast and gotten too expensive. Here are three to choose from: buying power is getting exhausted according to DeMark indicators; daily sentiment indicators are 88% bullish; RSI’s and oscillators are over extended.

All earnings reports for banks recently are make-belief. Banking stocks will eventually get hurt.

I called them and told them that I couldnt afford the 200 + dollar a month increased payment on my 3.99% fixed balance and they refused to keep accepting my old payment of about $145, so instead they told me I could pay about $135 a month and have a 2% interest rate???? I have Two other chase cards and a perfect 10 year payment history, I am not real sure what to make of this but I guess the whole credit card industry must be in chaos or chase is broke and in chaos??

I see financials taking a drop over the next few weeks. Too many shares diluting the market, and too much gain, too fast. As markets pull back, I think financials will lead the way.

Is JPM too big to fail? While they seem to have avoided the sub-prime mess, how can they continue to avoid the affects of the recessioin?? I'm beginning to get more pessimistic. What is really fueling this rally?? Everyone feeling better is not sustainable without some viable data or good news about our ecoomy. IMO not good for any banks given current conditions and governmental initiatives-desire to regulate.

That short squeeze leading up to and following the stress test (sham) was IMPRESSIVE! I was a little early with this red thumb...but it won't be long before my pick turns GREEN!
