What would it be worth to know the future five minutes before it happened? That's Knights business and explains why dark pools were bidding for it. Absurdly undervalued. Stock selling for less than the understated valuation during merger for Knight alone. Trading volumes continue to rise.

HFT is a global fact of life and it will only expand. The cost of entry and the regulation for competitors in this space is virtually nonexistent. This company makes money by increasing market efficiency and that is essential to global markets. This reduces the bid ask spread. This is the opposite of what you see in real estate where commissions make no sense and the bid ask spreads are wide and inefficient. HFT intrinsically increases market stability and Knight's computers see all this information minutes before it happens. It is a remarkable business model that can only expand.

It is unloved by fundamentalist investors, just as Google because they don't comprehend the intangible mechanics underlying systems. KCG is the Moneyball of market makers. Eventually Goldman wants this company and they will have to pay for it. KCG is one of the most undervalued stocks in market history. It will quad in two years or less.

Since the dreadful 440 million dollar plummet due to an untested computer algorithm going live on the market floor, Knight Capital Group's CEO Tom Joyce managed to acquire a 400 million dollar bailout in the form of convertible securities with companies like JPMorgan Chase. Since its pitfall, the company has been struggling to keep its lungs full of air. The fact that the charts weren't looking up before the plummet leads me to believe that this company won't be turning around very soon. (There is still some potential for this company, however.) I'm sure KCG is having a tough time convincing the market that it's safe to rely on them in comparison to many of its rival companies selling the same service. Plus, add in the fact that KCG has been hit with a few lawsuits, and the company doesn't seem to have anywhere else to go, but down.

Low P/E. Earnings positively related to VIX. Should benifit from resolution of FinReg and wisper takeover target. One downside is heavy Euro exposure.

GREAT growth potential at a BIG discount. Why? Low trailing trading volumes which will affect the short term stock price moves, and uncertainty over financial reform. Company is diversifying away from equity execution roots, but still in a high competition industry. Additionally NITE is also a surprisingly defensive stock. If markets tank both volatility and trading volumes are going to ensure NITE makes $$$$. And most importantly... who doesn't love their Barons ads.
