Kodiak Energy, Inc., a development stage company, focuses on oil and gas production primarily in Canada.
As stated in prior posts, this company is in a race to find oil before they run out of cash. Interesting plan, so on to the SEC statements we go.
"During the second and third quarters of 2007, the Company obtained $3,300,000 in unsecured 9½% notes payable from a European lender."
"The Company currently has the capital resources to fully implement and carry out its 2007 business plan and a substantial portion of its 2008 plan as described herein. However, we expect to raise additional capital, either through debt, equity or a combination thereof to finance the balance of our 2008 program. In the event that additional capital is raised at some time in the future, existing shareholders will experience dilution of their interest in the Company. "

The company is telling you that they are going to delute your shares and take out more in loans in less then a year.
FINANCIAL CONDITION
"Net Loss for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 totaled $1,839,051 (2006 -1,484,574)..."
Yahoo Finance says they have 1.26M in cash. I'm sceptical on the accuracy of the figure, but if it is anywhere close to the truth, they are buring through MORE THAN their entire cash hoard every year.
I would want to see oil this year if I were a shareholder. Even in that event, they would probably need to sell their new found asset because they do not appear to have the infrastructure to pursue a large scale oil drilling operation. They could always raise more cash (from shareholder equity and loans) to try their hand at that.
In Summary, even if they find oil your shares won't be any thicker than water by that point.
Recs
1. They've brought in NO REVENUE in the two most recent quarters.
Currently they have a price/sales ratio of 11,000.07. A tad high,
perhaps?
2. Over the past four quarters the company brought in $27.56K in
revenue and lost $3.05 million in earnings. That is an absurdly terrible profit margin somewhere in the area of -11307.41%.
3. Company produced -$1.22 million in cash flow over the past four
quarters. Over the same period they issued $4.27 million in stock.
Basically, the business stinks.

Super oil reserve possibilities along with natural gas opportunities to generate additional cash flow in the near future. Reserves are projected to be at the Saudia Arabia levels.

Rome wasnt built in a day, Kodiak is making the right moves to secure a long term future, one more thing, they have some bubbling crude in the ground. I bought the stock several months ago at $1.80 so I have very little concern. The current forcast is 6-8 a share in the near future, I'm sold and will hang in there.
