Kraft products are a staple in virtually every home. Can you go a week without buying a Kraft product?

Going to suffer from over trading after the spin-off - suffer from re-org work and then bounce back. Should be a buy through 07 but a rocky road and then upswing late 08 maybe early 09. Upswing should be worth it I think you'll pay mid 20's for a year or so before the stock comes back.

food is expensive. you'll notice that if you've been eating lately. thank misguided attempts at making corn ethanol a viable fuel. the future is in bio-diesels i believe. until then, corn, sugar, and soybeans are going to straddle the line between food and fuel, and we'll pay for it.

Price of food is going up and Kraft Foods is going to make more money.

I would rather eat Mac&Cheese than smoke. I will buy more KFT and forget MO.

Nice dividend, reasonable price, people are not going to stop buying their products anytime soon. Should do very well over the next year or so.

Kraft food incorporation will always be needed as long as people are around because us as people love to eat.It was going good before the crash but after it stores wanted to raise the prices on food to help the economy grow stronger and people aren't wanting to but it because of the price increase. After the economy grows stronger and the process decrease people will go back to buying it and this stock will continue to rise.

Times are getting harder and people need to eat.

not only is this a defensive stock that will do well in a recession (which we ARE in but many people don't want to believe it), but it will rise again in the next few weeks. it oversold the last couple weeks and the MACD just crossed above the trigger line a couple days ago with no sign of a reversal. i'm looking for an 8% to 10% gain in the next couple weeks (close on 7/9 was $29).
Recs
Reliable dividends during a recession.

Recession proof with good stats all around. I like to buy these types of companies when they are 1/3 of their 52 week right now but Kraft just doesn't ever go that low. They won't be stellar but they won't drop much either or for long when they do. For me this is a hedge type bet against riskier picks in my RL portfolio.

Brand Recognition and key shelf space make Kraft one of the best food companies to own in the United States.

Didn't suffer enough during bear market. It won't rebound as robustly as the rest of the S&P.

It is the food market and keeps expanding

Focus on staples

This is another stock one should buy and fall in love with and marry and never divorce...another longtime household brand name that will always have customers as long as people still eat. Once it has been spun-off from Altria I see it gaining momentum quickly.
Recs
Defensive play with a yield.

Kraft is a global business selling packaged food. Kraft is a spinoff from Altria. The stock has been solid and will continue to be so until people stop eating. It also offers us a nice dividend. That's worth eating.
