outlets are O & O by franchises - they do a better job as operators
Recs
Finally starting to deliver overdue financial statements. Once these are out of the way can start to focus on the domestic market. Starting to sell the brand in near and far east. Stock is hated. If they can expand their brand into broader product base - coffee, muffins, "healthier" breakfast/snack items, etc. could turn into a winner.
Recs
Food trends seem to be moving towards "healthier", which does not bode well for a franchise built around a tasty fried foodstuff with no redeeming nutritinal value. The company already seems to be in some trouble, at least accounting wise, and seems to have grown too much, too fast in an unfocused manner. I never liked the name, and I felt I needed to add a few short positions and lots of smart people seem wary of this company.
Recs
Doughnuts to dollars, Krispy Kreme is on a turn around and restructuring to bring the dough rolling back in. The have a good position and tremendous room for growth.
Recs
Until this company begins to release earnings, I wouldn't touch this stock with a ten foot pole.
Recs
Risky but great upside potential
Recs
Krispy Kreme never was so hot at strategy, picking a name that sounds like something gone bad in the fridge. Now the company is plagued by management greed (expand everywhere at once!), financial stupidity, and brand dilution. Pffft.
Recs
The yearly gross is approx equal to its market capitalization. Other comparable retail companies, such as Starbucks market cap is two to three times its gross. As the financial problems are being straightened out, KKD stock market cap should rise accordingly about 2 to 3 times, reflecting an increase in stock price. Store expansions in the Phillipines, Japan, Macau, China, Indonesia, Kuwait & the Middle East is going to increase the share price and react similarly to Starbucks. What does everyone else think?
Recs
This is still a great franchise that was under horrible leadership. That leadership has been changed. I believe Krispy Kreme has a superior product over Duncan Donuts and the exuberance over Krispy Kreme will soon be back.

Krispy Kreme is the answer to a growing nation, growing waist that is

it pains me to thumb this down because the doughnuts are sooo good, but I'm just not impressed with how this company handles its money. Nor do I like the delayed filings.
Recs
Krispy Kreme is Krispy Fried. Nothing management is doing makes any sense. New CEO's new locations, new price for suger filled treats adds up to a growth story gone horribly wrong. There only hope is to be bought out.
Recs
Starting from the basics Krispie Kream will have to get back to what they do best, focus on US sales and get their formula back to what has worked for them for many years.
Recs
Hemorrhaging cash.
Recs
Better management in place, since stock beaten down
Recs
They've learned from their mistakes and won't repeat them. They will recreate the success they once had in the USA as they expand into global markets.
Recs
Tasty doughnuts, lousy business.
