KNM has one of the best IP portfolios among the software publishers, yet consistently trades at a discount to its American peers. Since American publishers and a certain console manufacturer have a weak presence in Japan, KNM could be an attractive acquisition target. Foregoing an acquisition, it will still benefit from the current console cycle. Catalysts include old content (e.g. early iterations of Castlevania and Metal Gear) sold over services like Xbox live arcade, new iterations of key franchises on the next gen consoles, and continued growth in the mobile market.
