Doing things just the way a small company should: Expanding on its own ability to generate cash. The absence of debt on the books is this firm's main attraction. Is another dilutive stock sale in the works? Perhaps. But all seem to be in agreement The Knot will have gentlemen suitors beating down the door before too long, and my guess is they marry into money.

If you want to be Back in Black, you need to "cut loose from the noose".

I may have been a bit early to jump onto this one. I'm not concerned about the P/E. This is a long term play for me. They have a unique product with no solid competition. Ask any young person getting married and you'll find out more than you ever wanted to know about the services the Knot can assist with. Great balance sheet, expanding into print & televison, and not to mention always a candidate to be acquired.

Strong balance sheet, low debt. As the economy picks up, more weddings will take place and advertising dollars will boost revenue.

Terribly competitive market, and not much of a market at that. I asked three people just now if they had heard of The Knot (all married) - not a single one. There hasn't existed a wedding planning juggernaut company until now and I can't see one coming up. This may have some short-term potential, but I just can't see it for a long term.

Sure you can say, "People will always get married..."

Well people will always need to eat, people will always need clothes, people will always need shoes - but...

BOTEV: $19.4M FCF x 27% projected growth rate = $520M valuation. The Knot should be trading 80% north of where it is today -- and that's not even counting the cash on the balance sheet.

I still don't know of a credible rival; at least, when weddings are discussed in the newspaper, The Knot is the source usually cited. My guess is it's short-termism hurting the stock, people obsessing over some less than stellar reports of late. Long-term, this one should be a winner.

Great demographics for the product delivered, but the source of funds are in the retailing business. Without revenue the stock won't grow no matter how many site hits occur.

Everybody gets married. Sometimes more than once nowadays. And every bride-to-be visits the knot.com--every day--from the time she's dreaming of rings to the time that she changes her name. And now they have expanded to keep those brides coming back, offering marriage advice, financial advice, and even baby advice. Brilliant.

Way oversold, June weddings coming our way, always flies in the spring!

the best company out there to serve the wedding market. they have the proper retail registry connections as well as a very attentive and spend-happy audience at a very influential time of life. look for them to grow as they stretch into magazine publishing and other sites that transition to stages of life beyond the wedding

With our economy in a shambles, this stock will drop faster than a chicken bone falling off the Empire State Building. Why on Earth would somebody drop a chicken bone off that building in particular? Dump this stock like you'd dump that chicken bone.

This stock will languish around 7 to 8 bucks for a while.

Another bet - I'm getting married and have found this site to be extremely helpful and fun. Go with what you know.

wedding are going no where, long term stock

It's a company that makes magazines for couples who want to get married. The idea is good and the stock right now is cheap.

Dead end. Like so many stocks, the buisiness model is solid for a micro cap that has the flexibility to make it quick and get out just as quick, and those low tax rates won't persist. This stock is a gamble for longs at best. Proce should languish and slowly deflate.

Basically the only game in town for online wedding specific information. Sure, there are other sites and you could search for the info - but why bother when everything is here. I've seen friends become so obsessed with this site that even AFTER they're married they still go back frequently "just to see" what's going on (read: try to relive their wedding).

Sure, people have a wedding and move on, but there's always someone coming along right behind them to fill that empty space. Until weddings go the way of the dinos I think this is a good bet. Not to mention as soon as my fiance signed up she started getting about 100 pieces of mail a week from wedding vendors - so someone has to be paying The Knot for their member's contact info!
