Coca Cola in Latin America -- how can THAT go wrong? Everyone loves Coke, especially there, and there's an exploding population of young people. I realize that past performance is no guarantee of the future, but this stock has risen steadily for a decade and would make a good long-term investment. But I like for the shorter term too, as it's been regularly up and down every year and now it's clearly down (admittedly, so is everything else). The Fed cut the discount rate yesterday, the global market doom is sure to turnaround soon, so now it's time to buy. Should gain 20% (to about 48) within 6 months.

Coca Cola is a magic phrase south of the border. Maybe that is because it is so hot. Whatever the case, I don't think they will be stopping their Coca Cola consumtion any time soon. Still, the fundamentals for KOF look very spotty to me. I almost sold out, but thought I'd give it a short chance and watch it. I'm glad I did since it is up 25% in three months! When to bail, when to bail, when to bail?

KOF is the largest soft-drink bottler in Latin America, a market that's just going to increase. My vote goes to KOF
