Recs
Consumer spending is stronger in many global markets and more positive.
Recs
KXI is an IShares ETF. This ETF tracks S&P's global consumer staples index. KXI is made up of 100 global companies in consumer goods (75%) and consumer serviced (25%). The best thing about this ETF is that there are no financials in it. When investors are weary about financials they will look to companies and indexes that are not involved in banking and lending. Also, when individuals are going through foreclosure procedings on their home they will still need to eat, wash themselves and splurge on the occasional cocktail - all of which benefits KXI. Consumer staples is a place for investors to go when they are worried about the stock market while still looking for something else besides cash or gold.
Recs
Safer play for turbulent times. Pretty good way to invest in all of your favorite global consumer staples.
Recs
Like holding this in a bearish market.
