horrible ROA - way too much stuff sitting on the shelf. also, do not bet that sequencing is not going to be won by these guys. way too competitive.

that said, i wouldn't mind the merger thesis if they could better utilize the assets. sell… More

Even if you don't like Geron or Generex like I do, Life is a nice way in to biotech. They make all of the things that research companies use. Their success isn't dependent on the success of a therapy or drug, it's only dependent on research. The more of it that gets done, the more reagents and DNA sequencers people will need. In this field of constant evolution (do you see what I did with the pun there?) somebody will likely produce some new technology that will make Life look like the Yugo of research equipment suppliers, but for the next several months I see them pushing past their 52-week high on the strength of a decent quarterly report and government dollars steadily trickling into medical R & D.
