LOGI has been beaten down. I believe in their products. I have brand loyalty because out of the dozen or so products that I've purchased and put through the ringer, all have performed beyond satisfaction. I'd unflinchingly pay more for a Logitech keyboard than any other brand.

I have been taking trips to Best Buy for years, I even worked there at one point. Logitech to me is similar to buying a land rover. Its foreign and great quality. As Peter Lynch said in his book all you have to do is find a quality product that people would pay more for. Logitech is just that, I recently bought the Logitech revue which transforms a standard TV (I agree the TV is dead) into a smart TV, e.g. The TV can now do picture in picture so you can surf the web while watching TV. It also includes some applications that you would find on a smart phone.
Many years ago logitech came out with the USB computer cameras along with one of the few USB microphones. Now they have the revue and security camera's. Logitechs' niche is in the quality and their ability to transition products in the market to work better with other technologies and the user. I believe it is only a matter of time before Logitech impresses us with new products, but for now this high-growth, medium risk stock is going to Outperform the market over the next two to four years.

Strong marketshare, well built products, and is now using 3d printing for rapid prototyping. The computer market is expanding in places like China, and with Logitech making some of the best entry level and high end mice, as well as their continual focus on improvement, I find it hard to bet against them... also, their customer service is among the best in the industry. They retain customers for a reason.

LOGI is a pure value play here. Forward P/E of 6-10 depending on source.

Logi can turn out great products. However, the previous management (Gerry) bet the farm on Google TV, essentially closing several innovative groups (Gaming, Squeezebox, and now I heard that the Toronto office is closing -- the Harmony people). I don't know if Harmony is being discontinued, but I think they will loose *many* of their talented people in canada and probably loose their edge in that product category. They did loose a bunch of the talented Squeezebox people, and gaming too when those groups were essentially disbanded.
Maybe since the stock has been so hammered, and they have Guerrino back as CEO, they may outperform, but I'm not too enthusiastic about how they were managed over the last 3 years or so. Guerrino, or unknown successor has a lot of work to do. Clearly the board did a bad job at picking the last CEO. Let's hope for a better pick this time around.

Currency conditions likely to change over longer time frame. Company makes good products, many people have brand loyalty to logitch, I know I grew up with their mice and still think they make great products. Google TV was beta product released too early but once it is fixed has potential. CEO who reigned during the disaster is out, CEO with proven track record of running the company successfully before is now running the company temporarily until a replacement is found...
This stock does seem a bit of a gamble to me as well, but it has fallen so far that the upside potential is 300% if things go right so I think it's worth the risk...

I have normally been rating stocks in deep value territory. Logitech doesn't quite fit the bill here (Magic Formula style), but more of a Peter Lynch style pick. I use Logitech peripherals and they are all top notch. They have reaches into both the corporate/office and consumer markets (Logitech G27 racing wheel!). Most of their products review very well on Amazon.
As for valuation, they do have a great balance sheet ($2.67 cash/share, no debt). EV/EBITDA is around 6, EV/FCF is around 9). Also featured some insider buying in the past few months.
Recs
Lifesize purchase will start to pay off very soon. Collaboration with Jabra and growth of portable devices and internet TV will reignite the sale of peripherals.

6.8% insiders. No debt. Revenue growth. Reasonable P/E. Low P/S. Shareholders buying shares ! Need I say more ?

No debt, 13% return on equity, earnings & revenue growth, great pipeline of products, & a great reputation. This stock looks like it could be about to break out and stay ahead of the curve for many years.

is google TV a bust already? and how much of that will impact LOGI?
Recs
Speculation. Logitech Revue with Google platform seems like the closest thing to cloud computing with a flat screen right now... their prices need to come down though. I think people will want a proper keyboard with their tv in the long run, and logitech is already there.
Recs
with the compliments of chairman ben bnanke...
their products are handsomely dispersed all along the margin spectrum, eg my logitech illuminated keyboard was the most expensive of the store, but my logitech mouse wasn't, but they also sell more expensive ones...
Recs
Their products are designed well and affordable. Their newest venture with Google TV will only benefit them in the coming years.
Recs
OEM's for many different game consoles and PC makers.

Why did Google pick LOGI. Whatever thier reason is it is good enough for me!
