Positive cash flow, Good basic company with good directors.

I can't see any hope for the stock until 2008 or later, unless some company decides to buy it.

In last 3-4 months the price might have gone down, but the analyst coverage has surely gone up from 11 to 16 and just 5 buys....get my drift. Fundamentally speaking, revenue should increase from the merger, cost cutting potential, inventory reduction, favorable risk/reward ratio.....how's that for a pitch?
Recs
likely winner in upcoming rollouts for next gen storage

It will take CEO about 6 months to trim the two companies to one. There seems to be a big consolidation in high price employes.

When it's operations with Agere in place begin to show results

LSI will realize an expanded product line and decreased production costs from its recent acquisition.

Needs to recover from it's purchase of Agere

I like and have brought and sold the stock numerous times. In stating it will out perform let me clarify. This stock is in my opinion a super cycling stock that prepresents a good stock to buy on it's lows and sell on it's high s It is relatively volatile and hence not an ideal long term play but one to "rely" on for a short term good return ( think one to four months) buy low sel high and repeat often in this way it represents a stock that will enable U to outperform any of the stock indices.
Recs
An announced merger between agr & lsi looks to be good for both companies.
Recs
Merger news was good news taken poorly. Growth potential and Tax advantages. Earnings will take a jump over the bext 2 reports.
Recs
If you've been following LSI, it is obvious the stock is flatlining, and there is little indication the stock will change performance.

From a newbie: I actually dont undersand why LSI is going down, while it's announced that it would merge with ARG.. and ARG is going up. I myself think that this news should make the company better and therefore its price should go up. Could any one please explain this for me? Thank you very much
Recs
will buy Agere Systems
Recs
Acquisition of Agere very positive for future chip growth
Recs
Strong chip company with good products and strong books
Recs
LSI has a strong footing in consumer products, and will increase its leverage as Blu-Ray and HD DVD (as well as other 'HD' products) become more mainstream.
