Luby's has $90M real estate and pappas brothers! New ideas including Bob Luby's Seafood etc. This is a top rate operation. Pappa brothers are honest people with a strong track record.

Land is worth same as the stock. The restaurant business is a bonus, as long as it makes money.

This company enough land on which 94 of their restaurants are built on to more than justify $7.20/share (according to http://www.tradingsphere.com/diamond-in-the-rough-stock-tip-lub/#more-144 ). No debt, small cap, good management.

Mainly, I like what I see on the balance sheet. Long term debt is gone. Liabilities are stable, revenue is slowly but steadily increasing. Niche market - could expect some modest returns over the next few years. Worth taking a closer look at, keeping an eye on, or at least put it in your watch list.

Love the food, and the value in the stock.

Producing strong, increasing cash flow. $18.65 million in cash with no debt.
Luby's has an interesting concept in what seems like a sustainable niche. With the business producing strong cash flow, the balance in good shape, and a good foundation to go along with a P/E of 15.8, I see some long-term outperformance from here on out.

managed by Pappas Bros. who know food business
Recs
LUB has a good product at the right price. They are sound in their practices and have controlled growth and product wisely. Their target market is established and growing with the older active population. They also seem to be a fallback for the "comfort food" supply.
