Following lots of top notch players who insist that the is company is extremely well run and profitable. My own quick survey shows reasonable, but unspectacular historical returns on equity. The company seems to be financially sound (but it is hard to tell due to its nature as an investment company). Currently selling for 1.36 times book value, which is below historical norms. This company is trailing the market over the last 2 years and seems to be at a low ebb. Accordingly, I think the stock is likely to outperform sometime in the next couple of years.

i don't care if LUX is not out-pacing the S&P right now. They have a flat out monopoly in the eyeglass world. there is no way they can't produce in the long run. in the world of moats, they have a pretty big one.
