Every dog has it's day and every stock has its price. The fiber assets are worth much more, either management will exploit them or someone else will buy them and put them to use.

The need for fiber optics and the amount of black fiber which Level 3 has available are a recipe for huge income gains over the next ten years, at least.

First, Level 3 is a possible takeover target. Second, upgrades should be coming. Third, technolgy is needs to transfer huge amounts of information and with growing demand of smartphones and more people wanting high speed internet, LVLT will be rewarded with the infrucstructure they possess. I have a 3 year price target of $12.00 on LVLT.

Demand for data transmission is growing exponentially and the major telcos are offering the public an all-you-can-eat buffet for a fixed price. The populace is gorging on this buffet with no signs of putting down their forks. LVLT owns the pipes the major telcos need to expand. It is just a matter of time and time is what LVLT has bought itself by the recent debt issuance of $280M. Should be a fun stock to watch over the next few years if you happen to be long!

Level 3 Communications Integration of their purchased 6 networks has stopped-well 99% has stopped.

Level 3 Communications has stopped the integration of networks to save Quarterly losses. 99% has stopped.

1% continues and they brag about it.

Level 3 communication is letting Juniper M160 routers go into End Of Life Cycle to save money so Quarterly losses look less.

Level 3 Communications states less Quarterly losses. This is because intetegrations have stopped.

Level 3 Communications doesn't say this is because the integration of the 6 purchased companies has stopped CONTRADICTORY to what stockholders have been told.

CEO Jim Crowe continues to spew his spin. So what if a little work is done. 99% of integrations has stopped. 1% continues.

It seems to me everyone who plays level 3, plays them short term. They buy low, around 3.00 a share, wait for it to go to about 3.25-30 sells and does it all over again. This stock averages 15-20 million in volume every day. The stock rarely ever goes up 3 or 4 days in a row. When it does everyone cashes out, the stock goes back down people re-buy it and so on and so on. That's the only reason I could think of why this stock doesn't take off. This is one of the few stocks I know that constantly goes down on good news, and just about always goes up when the market is down. With the past 6 months of good that's happened with this stock, it should be selling at 5-6 dollars per share. The best thing that could happen to Level 3 would be for AT+T to buy them out, then we might make some real money.

The internal structure must be in place in order for this stock to take off. Mis-management is the culture of this company, for years we have been waiting for a take off. Nothing yet, and with a slowing in global spending margins will be lower. Long Term over the next few years, maybe the issues can be corrected and this stock will fly, but you must be very patient.

Communications are usually a good thing to bet on, however, looking at the track record here with Level 3, from 2000 thru 2002 we saw this stock drop from over $130 a share down to $3.40's. There are no splits involved with the drop. That happened in 2 years! in 6 years, this stock has not changed a bit! The 52 week high is stagnant around 6 bucks and it has stayed like that for 6 years. That's a long time for any company, let alone a COMMUNICATIONS company! 1 year target estimate is crap as well, at $3.46. This stock just screams "Run far far away!", if you do own stock of this company from before it crashed, I'd hold on to it. Couldn't be much worse for ya and there's always a chance that I'm dead wrong.

Free cash flow starts this quarter, and the backbone of the internet does not quietly dissapear into the night.
