Despite themselves the asset is gold and has a lot of capacity to increase its bandwidth it needed. I also think company could be purchased in the near future for this capacity.

This stock is coming into its own and once the acquisition is finalized, operating synergy should help to improve the overall performance. With the stock at 2yr support lines, this makes a good entry point with a possible short term short squeeeze. Overall, 5yr outlook appears healthy with demand for core services ever increasing. Adding here to long term positions.

Demand for broadband is only increasing and Level 3 has the goods to deliver.
Infrastructure is in place and long time debt is slowly being cut down, while at the same time LVLT is bringing in new customers.
The future is bright.

Synergy with Global Crossing gives L3 big advantage in cost savings that competition won't be able to match. Their strategy has been persistent and long term and just beginning to bear fruit. Reminds me of the JDSU phoenix from the ashes story. It will happen here too IMO
