I drove by McDonald's today at 2:30pm and the parking lot was packed. Growing up we considered happy meals a treat. This company is as American as it gets, but has a strong international presense to supplement US spending.

With the economic slowdown we are entering dining out will suffer; fast food will benefit. The coffee is less expensive than Starbucks and tastes great. American increase, international exposure, stealing market share from Starbucks. What's not to like?

McDonalds has a great busines model number one. Their breakthrough into the Chinese market will benifit them greatly. The new wif-fi and specialty coffee will definitly help grow their business domesticly. Think about how many people stop at the local coffee shop to use their laptop's. McDonalds future looks golden.

McDonalds is McDonalds. It sounded good for HP. Why not for MCD. It has outperformed the S&P 500 +335.01% to +50.68%. The past month MCD has barely outperformed the S&P 500 +0.14% to -0.24%.

Mcd ALWAYS finds a way to beat. McCafe launch will become a success and will ultimately help McDonald's increase revenue from food sales. People will go for coffee and throw in a breakfast item or two.

I believe McDonald's stock will decline due to their overreaching addition of coffee and due to reasons that are not publicly known as insider selling has raised a big red flag.

this is a safe stock in my opinion with consistantly decent numbers and not affected by our current economic situation.i dont think it will be a huge gainer but hopefully will offset some of my riskier picks

As the economy slumps people cannot afford to eat out at more expensive establishments and will patronize McDonalds.

McDonalds presence is worldwide. New and better quality coffee products could compete with StarBucks and their global locations are unique.

MCD's value is as much about Real Estate as it is hamburgers. It will be a tough year for real estate values.

There's a lot of fast food better than McDonald's - In n Out, Johnny Rockets, even Pizza Hut. However, none of them are corporations. It appears McDonalds has a monopoly on the corporate fast food. And with a huge global market (and mouth), the golden arches are a more recognized symbol than the Christian Cross. $68 in a year.

MCD has weathered the nutritional storm successfully, handling market objections to their menu and responding with positive product line changes. Continued franchise growth and high probability of location success both lead to a stock that should continue to perform well into the future.

McDonald's has been around for 50 years or better. With their finger on the pulse of today's consumer and their international recognition, I believe McDonald's will continue to grow.
