McDonald's influx into China can only be good for the company, China represents an outstanding market that is currently underdeveloped for fast food. Also, the coffee is so good for the price, how can people not eat there...

Anyone have any doubts about McDonald's continuing ability to sustain and continue to raise its dividend for many years to come? If you believe in long-term dividend growth investing, why would you not have what is surely one of the safest dividends to be found as one of your CAPS picks. This one's a no-brainer. I would buy it in real life but its direct stock purchase plan requires all dividends be reinvested in order to stay enrolled in the plan. I use direct stock purchase plans through either Computershare, BNY Mellon, or the companies themselves (SCG, AEE). I take my dividends as income and it helps me to save more money faster so I can buy more dividends. But I want to be able to redirect my dividend income as I please, rather than mindlessly reinvest it.

People have to eat and cheaply. MCD is always quick to innovate and respond to customer tastes, quite an accomplishment for a company this huge. It is also spread across the world and tailors the menu to the target population. I don't see how it can fail to prosper in a turbulent and uncertain time

Household name. Come on its McDonalds, price continues to rise and the dividends continue to be raised overtime. They are constantly trying new things and sticking to what works where it works and getting rid of the things that dont work. This is a great long term stock.

It's McDonald's. A company that has roots so deep in our world that the only way they are done is in the event of a comet striking Earth.

With the obesity epidemic, I can see McDonalds adding more healthy choices to their menu, which will add to their bottom line.

With more prime real estate than the Catholic Church, Ronald is going to keep growing and with a nice DRIP who could turn down his burgery goodness.

It's yielding 3.12% The P/E is very reasonable. I heard on the boob tube yesterday this is a new all time high for MCD. So I'm adding it to my caps port just to watch and see if it goes down or if it keeps going up. Either way it seems like a pretty good buy right now. It's certainly proven to be a recession-resistant company.
