Convenient and relatively cheap food, perfect for a fast pace society. A store on every strip nationawide. The brand name is enculturated in the American fabric and stretching out worldwide.

People are not excited about fast food right now, however with holiday seasons coming more people will eat on the go, along with lack of expansion and spending this company will see good gains in the next quarter.

I really like companies that have great management. But I LOVE companies that can make money no matter who's managing. The stock might not be cheap enough to make the dollar menu, but with a 3 percent yield and growing international sales, I think this one will be sitting in my Roth, dividends reinvested, for a looong time.

the price would rise some more and thats it. I would wait a year or so and sell if I had shares on MCD. Right now not a good idea to buy.

It's McDonalds. In an economy like this, everyone can afford their product. Also, they have an ironclad brand. Even though we know their food is bad for us, we still eat it because it's so delicious.

I don't like it, but I eat there sometimes. If another place was at EVERY rest stop on the highway that was as quick and recognizable, I would want their stock too. as long as there are tuck drivers and ghettos, there will be McDonalds..

MCD will continue to be looked upon as a safe stock to hold in an increasingly risky investment environment. As the interest-rate risk rises, MCD looks safe to hold for all those new retirees concerned about outliving their money but wanting to give their grandchildren a good time at Micky Dee's.

My kids ate McDonald's in the 60's, their kids eat there now and I expect that to continue for a few more generations.

People love dollar menus. may have smaller margins from these cheaper items but menu is well diversified, also drinks and dividends make this a strong pick for me. deep pockets to survive a double dip recession.
