there are 2 thinks to tell.
a good think: Micros Systems Inc. withheld bonuses from its top executives this year because the company missed revenue and earnings targets

a bad think:
Qtrly Revenue Growth (yoy): -12.60% and the stock chart looks dangerous. next stop 26 bucks if the numbers dont change quick 20 bucks is the lower level stop.

MCRS is cutting jobs to the point of not being able to support its current customer base, much less be poised to capitalize on future opportunities. Even though, sales and profit are up from previous years they're cutting in response to the stock price. They should just stick to solid business fundamentals, keep a steady increase in sales, keep talented long-term employees, and stay debt-free. Instead they're bowing to wall street pressures instead of the fundamentals that got them where they are today. Unintelligent middle management will sink companies like this. If they're sales and service fail to keep pace with other companies during the coming economic upturn, they will find themselves in an unfamiliar territory of shrinking market share. Now that the "big boys" are crumbling, it's a good time to be MICROS's competitor.

The best in the business. Their products are sought after by the best in the hospitality and service business.

PS the 52 week range does not account for the recent 2 for 1 split. This is misleading.

As with all my picks: A very attractive P/E, excellent EPS growth rate and high five year growth prospects.

I think the market got spooked on this one. MICROS has such a dominant share of the POS market for hospitality and restaurants they are not going to be slowing down anytime soon. With continued mandates, upgrades, and new openings, I expect to see continued revenue growth with healthy margins. Great financials and solid consistent growth rates. I am holding for long-term

This company makes great software for the restaurant and hospitality business. We're in a recession at the moment, but people are pretty defensive about their standard of living. They will still go out to eat and go on vacations, etc. The recession won't last forever, anyway. These guys sell in the Pacific Rim and as more and more of the popluation of China & India have discretionary income they will be eating out and traveling. Remember, this is a great product so it will be a leader as the hospitality sector grows the world over. Management is pretty confident - note the recent stock split.

I listened to the CAPS video pick and it looks convincing... A solid company that has been growing at a good steady rate. This is a keeper for long term growth.
