For my money this is better than QSII, but QSII is probably a pretty good pick too.

Rapid growth in a market that is still wide-open. Less than 20% of medical groups currently employ full-featured EHR but most are planning to purchase in the next 2 years. Look for major consolidation in the market around the top dozen major players and MDRX is in the top 5.

Company has great growth and a history of meeting or beating estimates. I'm hoping competition in the industry is lessened by takeovers.

Medical health records are going to become a necessity, not a luxury, and this is one of the best companies in the field. The alliance with GE shouldn't hurt either.

MDRX does medical records like Quality Systems (QSII) but it is a relatively new company and priced much more to my liking. It was a $12 stock for about 6 months and is now up to almost double. With Presiden Bush insisting that medical records for the people be computerized, it seemed like a good pick. They are currently expanding and have relatively low debt. I think it will do well.
