love the ticker- MEA. Bought in today with real $$ @ 1.87. See this trading back into the 2s at least, with $3/share a real possibility. Good industry. INSIDER BUYING @ 1.50, 1.62, 1.70

What a rocky ride, but it has potential

Closed and re-opened to more accurately reflect my actual start price for a longer term hold.
Actually in at $1.50.
They had some recent problems and got beat down, and the "traders" are continuing to use light volume to continue with the beating, but I fully expect it to come back up significantly over time.
I could be completley wrong, but at this price don't see it as a great risk.
JMO and worth exactly what I am charging for it.

Following Teachman1 on Metalico, Inc near his $3 target price. Teacherman1 took me to the woodshed several times now, most recently on FLOW, and I'll be darn if I'm so thick reared that I can't learn a lesson once in awhile. Turned back to a profit last quarter, but not stellar, Working to control costs and improve margins, (Of course that should be the goal of any company). Expanding in New York, New Jersey and Texas, which should be good areas. Weak cash flow, but expanding and paying down some debt anyway, mostly with improving receivables. 0.75 P/B and 0.13 P/S shows good potential if they continue to turn the corner.

A sustainable business with growth potential coupled with a recent price falling out and already high market makes this a pick I'm willing to make.

No matter what the economic sitution is there will always be scrap/garbage. MEA will clean up one way or another. Took a significant hit toward the end of 2011 but look to rebound in the next year or so.

I put a little real money to work on this stock when it was $14 then I bought in heavy when it was $1.40. I thought about buying more when I learned that they were holding on to scrap "inventory" to wait until prices were higher, and now that they are, they're showing some real earnings. I expect this to be an out performer, and possibly a take over target.

Gold? Rare Earths? how about looking in our own backyard, in the scrap metal "junkpiles". "There's gold in them there hills!"
Recs
at a cheap price like what it's at right now it shouldn't be that much of a risk if you consider the numbers.

A company that handles in scrap metal recycling that focuses on looking ahead at future growth is a plus in my book.

It'sbeat down and ready to go.
