MGM is at an attractive price today. This may not be the bottom, but it should have considerable up side. Their over exposure in Las Vegas may hurt them some in the short run, but I look for a surge in gambling in Vegas once the economy picksup some steam in 3-4 months. Buy now while it is near a 52 week low.

Been waiting about a year to see MGM get down to a reasonable price. Time is now, they own MOST of the strip and will continue to rake it in....

People gamble, we know that. People will always gamble, we know that. Where do people go to gamble? MGM Mirage is certainly a huge player. This company has gotten there act together and i think they have learned how to play the market and attract people in. I am curious to know what percent of their money is made on return visitors. anyone that can keep customers coming back, especially in these uncertain times, is a winner in my book.

Industry always bounces back from recession. Strong well established company. Debt to Equity ratio very poor. Company seems to be addressing this. Company has cashflow to prevent chapter 11.

gambling is always big money and with the economy doing as well as it is, hotel occupancies are at their highest point since 9/11.

They say the only way to win at Las Vegas gambling is to not bet. Except for Las Vegas casino stocks, which the odds are going to zero. An overbuilt and over-hyped city built on illusion of the "wealth effect" Americans are losing and will not likely return for decades.

Las Vegas will die a slow death. Every state wants gambling revenue, so will broke Americans drive / fly all the way to Vegas or drive 20 minutes to the Indian or River Boat Casino to lose their money?
Would you want to retire in 100+ degree heat?
Eventually, water, electric and food will become pricey as oil is not coming down and Las Vegas is in the middle of a NO WHERE DESERT, no water, no food near by and increased transportation costs. Cash in your chips and walk away, is my recommendation.

With the new renovations in all the MGM-Mirage Resorts it's kind of hard to judge by now but in the long run it will look to be headed in the positive direction. With a new resort in Detroit and Macau the company should be doing well because everyone would want to see what the resort has in store. Also the resort in Atlantic City and the City Center in Las Vegas will continue to boost the company's stock. Don't forget that MGM-Mirage is some corporations in Dubai in building a resort in Las Vegas. Things are only going to get bigger in the MGM-Mirage world.

At this valuation, this stock has lots of growth and upside. Vegas is to adults as Disneyworld is to kids. They will constantly adapt and provide what each segment wants.

This company is a Icon. They have the resorces, and the backing from over seas. The gaming board on Nevada will decide today on a larger stake with Dubi investing with them.

With the consolidation of casino's, they're one of the largest players out there... maybe they'll get bought also. I hope not, I'm running low on casino investments.

The graphs of the gaming leaders are too similar; rising too high too fast. mgm, in particular has a pe ratio that should give one pause; however, it is respectable when compared to that of high-flying LVS. I admit, things are happening in a big way, but something has to give--some would call it "profit taking", some would call it a well-deserved "correction", but a slump, I believe, is due.

Don't bet against these guys! Las Vegas will always be a draw to foreign and domestic tourists. They were able to restructure their debt and bring on a cash infusion from a Dubai partnership. They are on-schedule to open their Center City Mega-project on-time and on-budget. And while they are up significantly from their March 2009 low, there remains significant upside. Use short-term turbulence as buying opportunities.
