Stock has been hurt by high corn costs and lots of new capacity coming into the ethanol business. Most analysts predict capcity concern will remain through 2009 , but corn estimates suggest that these prices will soon decrease helping MGP. Gluton/food starches is the other catalyst here - expect improved performance overall. Buyer of this stock at $12.75 - porobably take a year or two to make serious money, but good risk/reward at these levels.

Largest domestic producer of wheat gluten with plans to triple capacity in response to scandal affecting Chinese gluten imports. This will increase sales in the short term and the long term contracts and relationships generated will increase sales volumes for higher margin specialty ingredients.

Picked it up at 7.50 and it exploded just after the State of the Union Address. Speculators have come in and out of the stock due to the ethanol play. I like it long run.
