This is a solid cash rich company that currently has a company buy back strategy. With prices tumbling, this will only increase the net holdings of the market stock. There may be some smaller company acquisitions which will improve their position for the year.

Love the Dividend; Co. buying back its own stock (although recently stalled, to keep cash in this downturn); Not going away, just at a 52 week low and a chance to buy in.

BALLIN! like the style of management

A giant in many sectors, this may be a little risky at present but when the economy improves again, 3M will be taking full advantage as a well known and respected brand name. Just waiting for the turn to hop on. :-)

Beat up in the short-term, but like the cockroaches 3M will be here for the long haul.

3.5% yield on 3M, a company that has raised its dividends every year for 50 years. Can't top that in the long run. There are higher yields out there but not many are safer.

Well established and managed. I think the price has stabilized and should go up or at least maintain the current market volitility.
