A nice diversified selection of industries for whom they design and manufacture controls and machinery to use does go a long way for this company. From what I gather in my 6 month long experience in picking stocks with the economy we're in currently, diversification is king.

Moog is a leader in fuid motion systems for aerospace and other industrial and medical uses. They are in prime position as world-wide economies recover. Aerospace is in another major cycle going forward. Buy on dips.

This stock has been punished pretty handily over the past 2 months, unfairly I think. The only reason I can come up with is that it is being lumped in the aerospace/defense sector selloff due to Obama's budget cuts. If that is so, it's trading at a discount to many in that sector despite double digit growth. Moog has diversied itself well, and even moreso with it's recent aquisitions of which, after a little research seem to be strong companies. To me this is a stock Buffett would be proud of. I'll be building a small real-life position starting at this price.

Moog. Nice selection of industrys, medical, aerospace, defense, and now a company to control windmill blade pitch. Authorized a share buyback after the stock price dropped, not to keep it pumped. Increasing debt is never a good sign but it is being used for acquisitions. If they are choosing the right companys they should do well. They did not buy the windmill manufacturer, instead they bought the company that sells pitch control systems to the manufacturers. Medical pumps and disposable pump inserts.
Sounds like a plan to me. Now if the world just doesn't end.
