I like the investment in YCharts that was made.

Morningstar misleads investors to make poor decisions. This may not be intentional, but it is a result of its denial of reality. Just ask anyone who relied on star ratings in 2008 how well they fared.

Cash flow, moat and financial results continue to exceed the S&P 500.

One more resource that is referenced and/or used by a large number of investors. I don't see them going away anytime soon.

This is a best of breed. Millions look to morning star for advice and guidance.They have figured out how to make this very profitable.

Morningstar will probably not do anything more than double between now and the next 3 years or so. Nevertheless, this is not going anywhere but up from hereon. 56% insider ownership, 2.1 current ratio (low current debt), 483 all-star picks, 2.07B Market Cap, 5.2% above 12 months low (now's a good time to put in)!!!

A star is born

With all that's going on in the economy and with financial reform, the impact these guys have by determining ratings would seem to be something of added value to an already well-established brand name.

I like their website and mutual funds are the investment vechicle for most Americans. Still the best rating source.

With High insider ownership, profits remaining good & near monopoly this stock should grow for years to come and recover to the high of 07 & 08.

Dominates in financial information, lots of subscribers and companies using its info.

I haven't done a thorough analysis of this stock. I up-thumb it because it represents an outstanding brand with near-instant recognition among professional investors, and many serious amateurs.

Its rating system uses sound fundamentals analysis. Its name is trumpeted aloud in consumer-level advertising of stocks and funds.

Anyone can do securities analysis, but few can achieve what Morningstar has in size, scope, and credibility. This is a company that will endure and thrive because it sells trusted intelligence--and you can't get a wider moat than that.

Still a marvelous buying opportunity for one of the finest, most reputable, and among the most financially sound financial firms on Wall Street. This stock should double in price within the next year!
