Your call - Will this stock outperform or underperform the S&P 500? Successful picks are measured in terms of whether or not you were correct and by how many percentage points.

Your time frame - A guideline for other players to see whether your thinking is short or long-term. Time frame is also used to calculate the stock rating, but is not used in the scoring of your pick.

Your pitch - Here's your chance to offer more detailed thoughts, analysis, concerns, or the rationale behind your call. The pitch is optional and may be added later.

Each time you rate a stock, CAPS updates the community intelligence for the company, which may or may not change its CAPS rating. For more information, visit the Help tab at the top of the page.

We've long felt that the only value of stock forecasters is to make fortune tellers look good. Even now, Charlie and I continue to believe that short-term market forecasts are poison and should be kept locked up in a safe place, away from children and also from grown-ups who behave in the market lik...More

Once a market and innovation leader now an also-ran. Big overhead ... bigger egos ... this one will get worse before it'll get better. PE is way out too high right now ... NOK trading at 25 looks like a bargain compared to MOT.

I have decided for the next serveral weeks to change my investment strategy to be short stocks trading between $1.50 and below $10 with a market cap of more than $100 million. My goal is to acheive at least a 60% sucess rate of beating the S&P Index. I am looking for 30% of my picks beating the S&P Index by more than 5% with an average per pick of at least 1.50. I am only looking to hold these positions for approximately 10-15 days.

All the picks that I select are from screening criteria that I have developed using software from Vectorvest. I find it to be a good screening tool. For game playing purposes, since I always try to have 200 picks going at once, it's a shot gun approach with only short term trading in mind.

They make great cell phones. It also doesn't hurt that they've branched out to include their chips in new apple computers that allow better cross over with PCs. I see massive growth in cell phones in the coming years especially with so much wealth spreading among developing countries such as India. That's over 1 billion consumers. Imagine one cell phone in each person's hand, which doesn't hurt that Motorola has a nice chunk of the current market shares.

The Breakaway Handset Group stil needs to stand and be counted. MOT has always been a bit unpredictable especially int he past 5 yrs with closings of production facilities.
