At this price MOT is a logical takeover opportunity for companies looking to develop the next generation of mobile technology. I am not talking handsets. I am watching for HP, Dell or even GM, Ford etc to integrate mobile communications directly into vehicle management systems.

The Droid has put Motorola back on the phone map. Though they won't be the only providers of Android-based phones, the "Android/Droid" brand is becoming so confused that most don't know the difference. Droid model phones will sell because people will think that's the "real" Android phone. It will take many years for another company to break into the Android market with this kind of visibility.

On oct 26th Cramer shat on MOT with a short term downside due to earnings year over year being tough to match the release on the razor. that call is long overdue for a recovery as the market realizes the numbers are solid and the Iphone is still out 6 months if it ever makes a dent. IPhone will get some market share but the razor is still the best phone on the mkt for the money.

Right now, MOTO isn't doing so well. It's at a holding pattern but will grow in 2008. Fierce yet mixed competition and will need to find a new technological grab in the mobile market to make a difference. Fortunately, other MOTO segments are keeping it steady. But wait till 08.
