Potential

When the only loan they can get is at 9% from a bank owned by Carl Icahn, who also happens to own roughly 14% of the company, then they must be in dire straights. Check out the 8-K just filed

this company has a huge potential.
soon all phones will require a data connection and the strong background that Motricity has with many carriers will definitely bring it back up. keep an eye on this one.

bottom line, they own spectrum!

I think they are suffering from a management team that is not accustomed to meeting shareholder expectations. Communication and guidance has been awful. The conference call sounded like they have no idea where a new revenue stream will come from. International? Smartphones? They have made some new changes and they need a win to turn this around, but I think they'll get it and if its not soon, the stock may perform for a while based on value.

Let's get one thing straight... I don't like Motricity's long-term business platform one bit. But based on their near-term growth and its current price, everything is in alignment for a purchase. Motricity's platform is targeted at cheaper handsets so as smartphones become more popular in the US, Motricity's share price continues to dive. Motricity will need to harness those foreign markets if it hopes to move back to its old highs.
The long story short here... Motricity is at 5 times 2012 earnings, with $61M in cash on its balance sheet (or almost 40% of its current value). Slated to grow revenue at more than 30% this year and 20% next year and NOT a Chinese company, I'm going to give this my thumbs up at this price.

Technical Bounce Likely
Recs
It has now shed its IPO pomp and will make it based on good core values. This is an international player in a market potential that is yet to be understood by those on wall street who's neckties restrict blood flow to their brains....this company deserves more positive attention than it has received post IPO honeymoon. I'm in and I'm nobody...apparently Wilbur Ross is now in too, and he's somebody!!!

Has been hammered lately, but financials not that bad. Seems to be growing by acquasitions and internal growth. They allow dumb phones to become smart phones.

I like the company, the major holders, the lack of debt and the technicals. A strong run to the upside could be coming soon. We will see.
