Morgan Stanley will ride the wave of IPOs and M&A activity during the current BULL Market cycle -- despite the initial bungle of the Facebook(FB) IPO pricing at $38 per share.

Both its near-term and long-term prospects remain bright. The stock has performed very well over the past year and its future remains bright. Its topline and bottomline continue to rebound, it is buying back stock, and there could be a dividend hike in its future. I see no reason to sell or trim my holding at this time.

Lower interest rates are cutting return on capital. Coming higher rates could increase lending income however this can lead to more expensive borrowing. Restructuring will cut through this revenue weakness.

Morgan Stanley is trading at about 50% of tangible book value. To earn a 15% return for shareholders, it needs to make a 7.5 Return on Tangible Equity.

For purposes of comparison, all of the major commercial banks believe they can make over 10% on Tangible Equity. Given that commercial banking is much more capital intensive than investment banking, there's no reason to believe that the investment banks can't at least do as well.
