Microsoft isn't going anywhere any time soon. I believe it's goining to take some work against the strong competition but Microsoft will continue to grow and build us money.

Cash is still king as the economy begins to slowly improve. MSFT has the cash and the ability to sustain their cash support with Windows. Acquisitions like Skype will continue to help them differentiate into the future. Despite being a bit stodgy, their model is still superior to those supported by primarily advertising revenues.
Recs
I will hopefully have time to put a report together soon
Recs
Microsoft's recent release of a more user-friendly smart phone, and its purchase of the commonly used Skype are bound to pay off.
Recs
Cloud Computing is going to be HUGE and the way of the future for businesses and MICROSOFT. And it can't hurt that Microsoft is joining forces with FACEBOOK to add SKYPE into their infrastructure. This should encourage a lot of Facebook participants to buy and utilize Skype.
Recs
New innovative products in pipeline, good investments into future technologies overall
Recs
skype + fb = relevant again. :O

I don't think people are giving Microsoft enough credit. They have been transforming the company slowly but surely. They have been opening more products to an "open source" model, as well as working with other industry peers. I believe the days of Microsoft being the "King of the Mountain" are over; however, you cannot discount them as a great technology company. With a dividend and low stock price, MSFT is a great buy. I think we are about to see many great things come from Microsoft in the near future and it would be foolish, no pun intended, not to enjoy the ride.
Recs
Given that MS is a cash cow, I think they would finally find a way to survive. They are not dead yet.
And they have a list of successful products Windows is not the only product. Their office productivity suite is not going anywhere soon and what about their development tools and backend tools.
Recs
The company is simply undervalued. The condition will not last.

Office 365 just looks amazing http://scanwall.st/lEfL4Y
Recs
It would be foolish to change to anyother operating system now. Majority of the world got their capital expense in this thing, so this stock is not going anywhere soon..
Recs
Unfairly beaten down as PCs are uncool. While they have struggled to make an impact in mobile markets, you better believe they will continue to try. Cash flow generated by dominant Windows and Office products, as well as their thriving gaming segment, will provide for more chances for MSFT to succeed (or fail?) in mobile while still creating shareholder value that beats the overall market. Finally, assuming they figure out how to increase revenues "in the cloud" with their windows and office suites, Mr. Softy should be a great long-term builder of wealth.
Recs
While this doesn't have the "cool" factor of Apple it is no cigar butt. Yet the market is pricing it as such. This is not a dying company but rather one of the most financially healthy large caps out there. Invest in MSFT and watch your investment slowly grow over the next 5+ years.

Good balance sheet.
Lot of cash.

It's a great buying opportunity on a top dog that's been way oversold.
Recs
Priced well with a competitive advantage.
Recs
solid money maker and dividend play.

Cheap, cheap, cheap. I understand the bear arguments about the death of the PC. However, much of the world is still PC driven and will continue to be for the next few years.
Xbox is a dominant platform that is now profitable.
Bing is a viable search engine that may eventually compete with Google considering their tie in with Facebook.
They continue to dominate in the enterprise space despite AAPL's surge in the home.
Will consider selling if this one hits $35-$40.
