Well due to apple new iphone 6 plus have been a bad time for the stock market, and it's fan with that lovely 30 degree angle, and also due to this other companies can come and do better like Motorola itself to beat apple, and it's light, but bendable phone. Also it's bias, but android allows the user to do more without rooting their phone, and also it's for the tech geeks like myself to use it as are test dummies to do amazing thing unlike you normal apple user.

Dividends500 tracks the 200 strongest dividends in the S&P 500. To qualify as a strong dividend, the company must meet two simple requirements:

- A payout ratio below 50%
- An increasing dividend from the prior year

Because there are more than 200 dividend paying companies in the S&P 500 that meet these requirements, the qualifying companies with the largest dividend yields were chosen.

Dividends500 intends to test this FactSet article, which highlights these strong dividend paying companies and their outperformance versus the S&P 500 as a whole (Page 12).

MSI has an A for financial health and a PEG less than 1 on Morningstar, so it's one of my long picks.

Unlike what People Think, MSI is not the Cell Phone maker anymore. I can't believe so many people still talk about it as being the cellphone maker and the new razr handsets. That company is MMI. That being said, MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS is a public safety and enterprise mobility company that has a very upcoming enterprise division making good profits. The fact that the enterprises are realizing the need for high tech products in their warehouses, factories etc. the company is bound to expand more. I would def. recommend this company

Going long here, I think Google has a long tern strategy that could potentially add to the bottom line, althougth this hasn't been the norm for Google when buying companies, I believe mobile is where it's at and this company could be the first Google acquired profitable company.

I guess I should say it now. I told you so. With the separation, MSI can shine without the cell phone mania that has plagued this very profitable business. What still amazes me is that analysts still talk about cell phones with respect to Motorola Solutions. Without MMI, this business will continue to grow revenues and profitability over the long run. They are the market leader in world-wide public safety communications systems, including 4G LTE. The enterprise solutions business is expanding rapidly (14% growth over Q1 2010) and retailiers have woken up to the need for high tech devices to manage their businesses. All-in-all, this was the jewel that Icahn found when he bacame the largest shareholder of Motorola stock and he is now getting the payback. Short it at your own risk, this is not a cell phone company anymore.....

They are in the middle of a spin off of there Mobile division, which will be Motorola Mobile on a share bias of 8 to 1 of MOT and then will been doing a reverse stock split of 7 to 1 to make Motorola Holdings look more valuable to investors, this will happen Jan 4th of 2011.

Holding this stock should make money considering that their Mobile division holds the wireless and set-top box rights for Qwest and Comcast and has been featured with Google's new Pad well the Droid is returning higher subscribers

If you didn't buy this before 12/01/2010 your a mumbler and fumbler and not an investor ! A survivor from pre-tech bubble who is making efforts to improve the board..there's a great idea. I see a dividend within 4 years..and it's based in USA ! Ship those who delayed buying to the RAVENS !!

Motorola

This stock has been a dog since 2006 when it was trading over $25 to now its current price at less than $8. This of course is reasonable because revenues have been sliding from over $42 billion in 2006, down to $22 billion in 2009.

Well, with the release of the new hit “Droid” phones for Google’s Android operating system, I think Motorola is poised for a turnaround.

If you’re not familiar with these phones, take a look at them on these Youtube videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6-Gsbsm7m0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1IPnnz6Hds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akr0nRyXVe8

Trading at 14 times forward earnings estimates, this could be a good buy here if indeed these phones bring back market share back to Motorola (which I think they will). Additionally analyst censuses estimates have been creeping up for both 2010 and 2011, and I’m also expecting that trend to continue. Add in the fact this $18.5 billion market cap company is sitting on $8.2 billion in cash ($3.4 billion debt), and the enterprise valuation ratios show a more attractive investment yet.

Technically I like the stock now that it has both been trading higher and higher on each pull-back since Feb of 2010, and recently there has been another pull-back since the rally that brought the stock to recent highs up to mid-late Sept.
