Company is moving in the right direction, and is introducing new products that should keep them growing.

With the double failure to produce enough flu vaccine and produce the right strain of vaccine in the last two years it is inevitable that consumer confidence will focus on drugs with a concentration on the over-the-counter homeopathic, variety.

Their products are flying off the shelf in Duane Reade in NY, and I'm doing hands on research of their product placements in this popular drug store chain and other chains, and I'm happy to see their placement is prime eye-level shelving, with orientation toward the front of the store.

On a personal level, I am greatly impressed with the results of preventing a minor cold from changing into a major one.

My overall rational is that with their commercials and homeopathy being on the rise due to many conventional healthcare failures, an affordable share price and positive consumer reviews, this is a company that could prove attractive to a buy-out by a larger pharmaceutical company looking to grab some market share. I consider this a good value stock, and I've bought shares at $13.46.

Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. makers of Zicam, specializes in over-the-counter medications and cold remedies. With the healthcare costs continuing to rise, I believe the over-the-counter markets are going to boom, epecially if the pessimistic outlook of companies offering less healthcare benefits turn out to be true. I already know people who opt to try over-the-counter medications instead of going to the Doctor because their co-pay is more than they can afford.

EARLIER IN THE YEAR THERE WAS A LOT OF WARMER WEATHER, BUT COLD WEATHER IS ON ITS WAY. I FEEL THAT MORE PEOPLE WILL BE GETTING HEAD COLDS NOW DUE TO THE DRASTIC WEATHER CHANGES PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTH EAST.

Their Zicam product has good potential. As a physician I can read their research a little more deeply and the research appears okay... that is, there IS an effect with the product and the effect is substantial. Even though they talk about it being a homeoptathic remedy I suspect that the zinc itself may be contributing most or all of the effect of the product. Regardless, it appears to work.

Also, it appears that the recent lawsuits alleging smell and taste loss are baseless (however they have certainly made the stock price a bargain).

This press release is of course from the company itself, however the major lawfirms that i have checked have stopped taking zicam cases which is a good sign.

The downside is that there ARE competitors out there, however none of the competition has done the research that these guys have. I do believe that matrixx has the edge here.

Maybe this isn't a multi-bagger, but it looks like an out-performer.

Look at historical charts and see that this is a great time to buy MTXX. Always bounces off these levels to the mid 20's. Could be in for a nice bounce here since the cold season came a little late this year. Be out by summer though and get back in around August or September for year end rally on MTXX.

Cold product works. Is the only product on the market that does (to prevent or stop a common cold in its tracks). My wife and I both just used it. Amazing.

Matrix (mtxx)....great cold remedy (Zicam) with the nasal swabs...starting to market well..in all the bid stores and drug chains...getting shelf space...specualtive core holding with big upside potential.
