Inside buying - discount to NAV

With the stock currently trading in the $9 range, it's at a serious discount to the NAV of $16.50 per share at the end of August...

Current 9.48, Sept 19 09. Limit 9.22

Another VC-type fund for a public market investor. I think these guys have done some good deals.

I simply used the screener to find all of the 5 star stocks with the greatest 52-week losses. 5 stars should make them good picks and the high 52-week loss should make them cheap. We’ll see how it works!

Steal at half the book value this is a gem

Dividend stock.

Recession will end. Insiders seem to be buying. Balance sheet seems okay. Seems to be the time to be buying.

Priced 1/2 of book, roe 10.5 %, insiders own 11++%, 5.93% dividend, NAV of over $17 a share. Buys small to medium companies in trouble, gee wonder if there any of them out there right now, Not like we in a recession. How about i get 300 or 400 shares and wait to see what happens tyvm

I don't know if this will outperform, but it should grow at least 50% on stable economic forecasts.

This is a great buy and another example of a company loved by CAPS that's going to skyrocket once it gets rediscovered by the big boys.

Well, shazaam. A financial services company just paid me a dividend. Ain't that amazing.

The market for M&A will rebound...and MVC will be ready. Offering a solid dividend, selling below book value, with a P/E of 4.2...this is a vlue play. Given it's small size, though, this company will provide healthy returns for years to come.

The insiders are buying like crazyyyy.

AT $9.22, MVC trades at a 47% discount to NAV of $17.33. There might be weakness as its investments are little companies, but they are good little companies.
