Boy, I've followed this one for years & should have red thumbed a couple years ago.
Green lasers will be a few years still. While we wait, MVIS will keep issuing more & more stock, forfeit options to key personnel & try every marketing ploy to keep interest alive. A wonderful dream, but MVIS simply began to sell it too soon. The patent licensing money won't be enough without selling projectors.

Google glasses (heds up display tech) as well as phone projection (think business users here, not general consumers) and this feature is going to find itself in the next wave of mobile devices, even if only for novelty. Green lasers are becoming mass produced with prices coming down to make this product cheap enough for wider and wider acceptance for OEMs to incorporate it in upcoming products. I suspect a major electronics company, like a Samsung, or Pioneer, or LG will put this technology in one of their products by the summer of 2014, setting off a wave other manufacturers following suit. I could happen prior to the next interation of the iPhone, but that seems an unlikely timetable, so I think it's introduction will be before Apple's 7th gen iPhone (if Apple doesn't do this themselves).

Microvision is already securing a wide range of technology patents. It has the technology. Now it needs the right deals with the right "entities".
Recs
MVIS has over 500 patents surrounding the only laser based, focus free technology that has size, power and low cost (due to low cost direct green lasers coming online)

If the don't do it within a year, that's it for the company. I believe they know it and will perform well

MIcrovision is the leader in small laser projectors. They have agreements with at least one major automotive company to provide these lasers for the first true heads-up displays. Rated a Buy by Merriman Capital: http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/prnewswire/SF70037.htm

I thumbed this one because the short interest seems awfully high. Now with the low volume and the huge jump I'm more worried about being in the middle of a P&D.

I beleive thay have something that will someday be a part of our everday lives.

Patents, Patents, Patents!!!!

This company Microvision, being on top of all sorts of projection technology patents and now with better products and somewhat a bit better marketing than before, is a perfect candidate for a buyout. I believe its just a matter of time when some company like Microsoft/Apple will buy Microvision. Microsoft can literally embed this pico projector in xbox and valla! no TV is required to play games or Apple can embed this improved pico projector in their new devices. This company just need one small wind to go on the top. Regardless of what sales and revenue/debt numbers show, I am in for Microvision because it has a strong buyout candidate label attached to it.

good play in mobile

Good technology that I think will become popular in the next couple years at a low share price

Could pop big when the orders roll in.

I don't know much about the financial background of the company, but as a tech-fiend, this technology is amazing. Just the military applications alone are staggering, and that's where some significant money lies.

The provide the technology that people have been fantasizing about for the last two decades. Perhaps we are at the precipice of integration into everyday use.
Recs
Great technology that should be more in demand as economy strengthens.

Patents n enterprise use of iPads w Keynote app will bolster Pico projectors' sales. . . Think about it: ya want to haul around a bulky InSight projector or an iPhone size Pico. . .

Yow. So I better say something.
Uhhhhh...good technology. Really cool. I don't have any money in this one. Just keeping an eye on her. I would personally like to see some revenue growth, earnings growth, some kinda growth. That sounded like cancer. Some kinda non-cancer good growth.
You want a suggestion, buy Finisar. I got money in that one. Damn if I want my pretend picks to do better than my real money picks (again).
$2 is a good price. I like that $2.
I was excited about this company, I dunno, six years ago? It's been dead money for a decade. One day it's going to be a 100-bagger. It's like investing in holograms. You got to be patient. Buy this one for your unborn child.

+ Exceptionally strong patent portfolio.
- Profit history is a major concern.
Micro/mobile display technologies are hot right now, G
good speculative pickup.
