You can count on their licensing revenues to bring in a steady income flow, and then you have the upcoming blockbuster movies over the next two years...Iron man 2, Captain America, Thor, and the Avengers...which will bring in huge amounts of movie ticket sales worldwide, along with their future DVD sales. And if those movies are successful at the box office, which I expect they will be, then you would have Avengers 2+, Iron man 3+, etc...

I originally bought into this stock when it was in the teens...sold in the 20s. Shooting myself now as unlike most of my portfolio, this stock remains a winner. Tyhe long term prospects for this stock are great. As a 30 something, I still find the appeal of these characters bringing me back to my childhood. So far they have done a great job with the movies they have allowed their characters in. I don't see this trend changing. I'm saying $60 in the next 2 years as the markets rebound.

I wish every company I owned looked out for the shareholders as much as mighty Marvel seems to.

Unlike DC Comics, Marvel has always had some really great characters.
Many adults today remember reading comics when they were kids, and were dying to see Xmen, and Fantastic 4, Wolverine, Punisher, Spiderman, Hulk etc. in a movie. Unfortunately at the time the technology wasn't there to give us a good move full of special effects.
Now we have all these amazing special effects abilities, the sound is amazing, and frankly I think we will be seeing all of our favorite comic characters come to life. All the Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, and kids today will have a blast checking out their heros. Even if the movie sucks, the effects make it cool to watch.
Marvel is great, but I feel sorry for DC. The batman movies were ok. (the last one was better than dark knight), Superman was a horrible movie (he played a pansy, I was waiting for him to cry a few times), and I don't see them coming out with a Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Black Panther, movie anytime soon. I know I wouldn't bother with an Aquaman movie...

Good cash flow from licensing, funding new movies instead of licensing only, and economy recovering.

While Marvel may not have much else coming out the rest of this year, they have a massive backlog of storylines to sell and market and are just in the beginnings of doing so.
For stock owners looking to the long term, this seems like an easy pick.

Great Pick.
