The future of Marvel is looking: FANTASTIC!!!
A few more movies will be released in the near future.
Future earnings are projected to be UP around 30%.
Is there some HYPE built into the stock price? YES, should this concern us, not really, not for the longer term.
For the short term trader; you can profit by: BUYING the Dips, and SELLING the Rips!!!
Let's make some serious money!!!

That's how Walt did it.
That's how Marvel does it.
And it's worked out pretty well so far.

I'm real late getting on this train but I believe in the long term prospects.

Fools! Jump in! The idiot analysts disregarded toy licensing when calculating MVL value!!! I just TRIPLED my holdings at 26.05!!!!!

What a Explosive company into the entertainment industry was a smart move, The comic book heroes has brought in younger generations and adults into the theatres, with lots more to come, I see nothing but great things with this company with the success of spiderman, Ironman, Xmen, the Hulk, the Heroes show on the network, in the past several years the Industry has been very good business decision for them. Definately a very good Long Term investment.

Marvel......Iron Man.........Movies (They're putting out themselves now & collecting the windfall of cash)........Ton's of Characters it can put on the big screen; enough said.
If the Hulk can survive the big screen this go around (Which it should with the cast it has; it will be around for 1-2 more films; just like Iron Man when it comes back for it's sequel.)
Then Marvel will definitely be on the rise, I'm waiting to buy more as of now but when if & when it reaches @ 30; I'll be all over it.

For MVL it's all about their inventory of content and eyeballs!

MVL has seen its top for now I think. The Co's outlook on Nov 6 was good but not to keep the uptrend going for the next few week at least

Ironman, Hulk, oh my...

I'm a big fan of what they have done in the past and look forward to the upcomming movies. They are bringing more of the movie making under their own roof in 2008. They have potential to be a big time production company maybe even doing things other than old comics.

A friend who works for the studios just saw Iron Man and he says it is a very good comic book movie. Much better than recent other releases such as Spiderman 3. It will be a big summertime hit.

Marvel sales growth will slow as the economy drags discretionary spending. However, strong core characters will keep the audiences satisfied, even as they dip into the 'second tier' characters. I agree that the string of blockbusters has all but petered out, but licensing for video games, etc., should keep this a nice company to own.

I own this one for real under $20 just keeps climbing!

Pipeline for 2009 is weak. Strong competition in genre in 2009 from Watchmen, Terminator, and Star Trek. Look for recovery in 2010.

This is a major buy. Movies that are licensed by Marvel include the Iron Man and The Hulk, and more movies of this genre are to come. Iron Man will produce mass revenue this year for this company, earnings will skyrocket.

The comic portion of Marvel Entertainment is somewhat stable as well as their toy division. The real growth is coming from their movie studio. I expect them to drop in share prices throughout the year and then ramp up and pass their 2008 share prices in 2010 with the release of the Iron Man 2 and Thor movies. I also see added growth in 2011 with the release of their Captain America film and The Avengers. The Avengers in particular is one of their hottest titles in comic books and everyone who knows comic books has at least heard of The Avengers (new and old ones). Marvel has started approaching its potential stars to sign multi-film contracts so we can and should expect consistency in who our favorite super heroes will be played by.

I am Marvelling over this company's return on invested capital vs. the weighted average cost of that capital...
