Can a random number generator (www.random.org) produce the best 100 stock picks that will beat the market over the years? Let’s find out. :)
My process, for those interested:
I use www.random.org number generator to produce a number between 1 and 7,801. There are 7,801 stocks available to choose on the Motley Fool CAPS Game. Once I get a number, I go to the list, find that stock, and select that stock to outperform for the next five years.

Some economic recovery will help this solid bank. Technicals indicate a good time to buy.

It won't.

The United States and Great Britain have been the financial centers of the world in the past century due to our history of supporting free markets, a sound currency and property rights. Unfortunately, the current political reforms underway in the U.S. and U.K. (i.e. deficits over 10% of GDP, higher taxes on the rich, breakdown in rule of law) will drive the banking and finance business away from London and New York. Australia has the long history of support for free markets, private property rights and are making better decisions at this time. This would make Australia a likely home for the capital that will flee the U.S. and U.K. This should benefit NAB over the long term.

Australian banks represent great buying at present as share values have declined due to the US sub-prime lending crises. The banks in Australia and New Zealand are not heavily exposed to sub-prime mortgages and the NAB has made a 90% provision against its exposure. Furthermore Australian and New Zealand banks are much more regulated and are continuously monitored by their Reserve (Central) banks. Depositors do not have any form of deposit insurance although the Australian government is looking at a proposal to cover up to $20,000.
Finance ministers of both countries have recently announced that all banks are sound with strong balance sheets.
