Without Donlin Creek, where does NG go? It spun off Ambler, it sold Rock Creek, and it's selling Galore Creek. All the chips were being bet on Donlin.
It's possible it could decide against selling Galore Creek now, but it has a lot less levers to pull now than it did before.

Buyout potential as larger gold miners will feel major pressure to grow proven and probable reserves and NG is sitting on a mountain of them. With junior miners purchase price is the key, averaging in when they are out of favor and patiently waiting for the pop.

Well, I certainly didn't pick this one due to their great stats like operating margin of -29,655.61%. However, John Paulson recently upped his stake in Novagold Res to 29.95 million shares and now holds over 10%.of the company. In addition, Seth Klarman, recently upped the Baupost Group portfolio's holdings of Novagold by @47% to almost 7.5 million shares. Although I don't know the reason for these additional investments, these men didn't get wealthy by increasing their stake in bad investments.

2.6 billion market cap for this company? You have got to be joking!
It seems to me that all you have to do is put the word "gold" in the company name, and the stock will automatically trade at over a thousand times its intrinsic value. This is similar to what happened in the late 90's with the internet companies. I guess history really does repeat itself.

Gold is in. Say what you may but to ignore gold in today's world financial climate is just plain shortsighted. This mining co. has grown and has reasonable fundamentals. I have made over 400% and sold to go to dividend-paying stocks --- thanks NG.
