on My Watchlist
closed-end investment company
Pro: Consistent dividend, fantastic profit margins, low P2BCon: High debt, higher PE than I'd like
9% dividend yield.
Good yield at attractive entry price.
This company should do well with the economic recovery. In spite of the environmental extremeists, the need for oil and gas will remain strong through the next several decades. This need will require a constant quenching of capital. With low debt and a good business model, the odds are pretty good for this stock to have expanded growth.
low relative PE, good star & 2010 earnings. Bottom fishing week of 11/2
I received this stock idea in my CAPS account as a “Stock of the day”. The more I researched it the more I liked what I saw. Price/Book 0.68. Technical Analysis shows Bullish in all categories. On Oct 6th the company announced they have managed to extend the maturity of their Investment Credit Facility until Aug 2012. No debt outstanding on the credit facility and $40 million in cash for new investments. Good energy investment spread out over oil, natural gas, coal, power generation, energy services and even alternative energy.
While the long-term forecast for this stock looks very bright, short-term will continue to decline faster than the S&P. Until the real estate and oil markets start to rebound, I will be bearish on this stock. With that said, if you include the dividends on this stock, I can see it outperforming the S&P short and long term. Price alone however, not so much.
well poised energy lender that gets kickers in properties financed. good management - comparatively safe way to play us energy rebound.
High dividend, oversold, good potential for long term earnings. Well off 52 week high, close to 52 week low.9 stock scouter ratingbelow average risk12.17% dividend yield
I don't put much weight on it's performance.I'm looking at the dividends.

Company finances, and may also have equity interests in small to mid-size energy companies: oil, gas, coal. And also invests in power companies. This is a closed-end fund and pays a reasonable dividend over 6%.
Good earnings growth expected
