2/27/09 Pitch: Downthumb. Earnings 3/18/09. Price to Cash flow and free cash flow too high. Little debt, but subject to high margin pressure from recession. If earnings miss, stock will tank.

Should've done this months ago, but time to downgrade a slew of consumer discretionary/retail companies. We are going to see a change in the standard of living in this country over the next decade, and these companies are flat out not going to see the performance of the past.

Bear Market

Consumer weakness = underperform for Nike over the next year. (?)

I like the company, but I see this going down due to the current economic goes. People will look for bargains instead of the $100+ Nikies. i believe that they will rebound, but not until next year. Now a days there are several other companies that sponsor sports superstars, so the competition is out there for Nike.

Nike's on a downswing. Guess nobody likes Nike Sparq training as much as Nike thought...

This stock is overvalued.

Phil Knight just sold off a ton of shares. I still believe this stock is good for the long term but there must be something up if Phil is dumping his shares.

ncaa basketball is just completing it season. it has created a boom because of the exposure. the next couple of weeks i believe it will under perform. then after the masters. if tiger woods performs well. it should take off again.

after years of benefitting from the global growth boom, NKE will soon begin to lose significant share to Reebok and Adidas. you can take that to the bank for sure.

Not really quite the must have brand it used to be.
