WHAT A DIVIDEND, AND IT'S GONE ON FOUR OVER 10 YEARS.
Recs
Outperforms due to the dividend until the Fed raises rates.
Recs
Dividend yield is currently around 15% per year, so as long as the price even remains steady there's a good year or two of returns to be made. Any appreciable growth in stock price is basically a bonus for me.

Recs
A good short term investment for high current dividend but its future depends too much on interest rates.
Recs
I've already owned this stock for a few months, but with the feds announcement that rates are staying low I think I will get some more NLY.
Recs
Although REITs have a dirty name now I firmly believe that stronger companies like NLY and CIM will survive and outperform the market within the next several months. Plus one can enjoy the dividends while waiting for growth!
Recs
Great stock to have in portfolio while interest rates remain low, but will be taking a hit in share price sometime 2012 when the FR starts raising interest rates again. In the meantime, Q3 2010 results came in below analyst expectations but Annaly was able to sustain the current dividend per share payout. Things are starting to get a little tight and expect a possible div cut in the next 2 or 3 quarters.
At that time I will be out and will be looking for a re-entry point at a lower stock price.
Recs
The dividend alone out performs the S&P 500. As long as interest rates stay low this stock will out perform most.
Recs
this is the front runner of the REIT's. As long as rates stay anemic along with the economy in general, then Annaly will flourish. I'm very bullish on this bearish company, and am enjoying my fat dividend with it too
Recs
high dividend strong track record.
Recs
Lower interest rates are here for the next several quarters and NLY will be able to capitalize.
Recs
As long as the Fed keeps zero rates in its repetoire this company will be a contender. They are extremely well run and work their leverage as well as anyone.
Recs
I like the short-term outlook for Annaly, spinoff CIM and a number of other REITs. I've even devoted a chunk of my portfolio to the group. But Annaly et al appear to be peaking. Taking full advantage of current low interest rates, the future (2012+) is much less bright with the prospects of increasing interest rates and squeezed margins. Profitability will drop...right along with the div.
Fed is suggesting that they'll maintain current interest rates for the remainder of this year and 2011. That gives you a nice timeline for short-term dividend plays with these REITs.
Recs
I like the balance of this fund. Great dividend.
Recs
I believe the NLY will beat the overall market, its 15% plus yield is a testiment how this company is doing well.
Recs
Real Estate will eventually come back, pays a huge dividend.
Recs
Strong management and proven track record. Borrow at low rates and buy Government backed mortagages. High dividend!!
Recs
In it for the dividend. Parent company of CIM which I aslo am Long on.
