Fishy management and too much spending. Oil is on the decline.
Bought after end-of-June short covering rally... I think that oil is in near-term downward trend
If you don't own a piece of the Bakken you are missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime.
"royalty shop" with about 8 emples, so very low ovrhd. questionable accntg but they get paid on wells, so must have proper leases. income skyrockets this yr and in '12. mrkt has to notice.
Bad call, this stock will outperform for about one year or less, the fundementals seem to be pretty good. I am a buyer of this stock for now
beat earnings estimates and growing reserves.
no debt, growth potential... i like
Street Sweeper - Fuzzy Accounting, possible fraud, related party transactions...
NOG is an oil and gas company in the enviable position of producing extrodinary profits from production in the Baaken field in the Williston Basin located in south-central Canada, Montana, and North Dakota. This area is producing more new wells from what may be the largest oil discovery in the history of our country.

Shorted for all the wrong reasons.
looks good. down 18% ready for a come back.
Pullback Likely on Relatively Weak Stock
when ever managment sells shares the price falls and maybe rightfully but nothing happens, maybe they will slow down or be bought out if the price goes low enough but I would not expect it. Besides T Rowe Price still likes them.

According to http://thestreetsweeper.org/ these guys have seen recent acceleration in insider selling of shares since this web-site broke the story that detailed a large amount of shady/questionable dealings in which the principles of NOG have engaged in their pasts. This same story also quotes industry insiders who say that NOG is not accounting for /properly projecting future well depletion properly, which easily inflates their numbers when compared with other, possibly more legitimate players in the Bakken Shale region. So let me ask you this: There's tons of money to be made legitimately in this particular shale formation, why put your chips on this horse? There are so many other players in this shale field, and players with good, solid accounting pasts as well. So why needlessly gamble and blindly give your investment dollar to a firm comprised of individuals with known credibility issues in their pasts, especially when there are dozens of other firms out there where this just isn't quite nearly as much of a concern.Remember -- you lie down with dogs, you get fleas. So if nothing else, both NOG and its clone VOG are covered with fleas. Do you really want that?
